How it works
- •Set an exact width and/or height in px, in, cm, or mm, a target file size, or both together
- •Physical units (in/cm/mm) convert to pixels at 96 DPI, the standard used by browsers and CSS
- •Works both ways - shrink a large image down, or scale a small one up
- •A target file size is hit by searching for the right quality (and, if needed, scaling dimensions down further) automatically - no manual trial and error
- •PNG is lossless, so it has no quality dial - it can only reach a smaller target by shrinking the image itself
